The Family Court is located at 170 Park Center Plaza in San Jose, at the corner of Almaden Blvd.and Park Ave. It is in the same block as the Tech Museum, although the Tech is across the street and down the block at the corner of Market and Park. The Adobe Systems building is across Almaden from the Family Court. There is a parking garage next to the Family Court, although it can get a little congested around 9:00 and 1:30 when the court sessions are starting.

From most south bay locations, the easiest way to get to the Family Court is to get on Highway 87. If you are driving north on 87 going towards the airport, coming from Highway 280 or south San Jose, take the Santa Clara exit. Turn right on Santa Clara, then turn right at the 1st light onto Almaden Blvd. Park Ave. is the 2nd street you come to, turn left. Drive down Park, make a U-turn  about 2/3 of the way down the block, and park in the garage next to the Family Court.

If you are coming down Highway 87 from the north, say from 101 or the airport area, then exit at Park Ave. Turn left onto Park Ave. Go under Highway 87 and continue across Almaden. Make a U-turn about 2/3 of the way down the block, and park in the garage next to the Family Court.

The Notre Dame Courthouse is also used for some Family law matters. Some child support cases and SOC's (Settlement Officer Conferences) are held at the Notre Dame Courthouse. The Notre Dame Courthouse is at 99 Notre Dame Ave. Notre Dame Ave is actually the same street as Almaden Blvd, but north of Santa Clara Street it becomes Notre Dame and is one-way going north. The courthouse is at the corner of Notre Dame and St. John.

Highway 87 is also the best way to get to the Notre Dame courthouse. If you are driving north on 87 going towards the airport, coming from Highway 280 or south San Jose, take the Santa Clara exit. Turn right on Santa Clara. Turn left at the 2nd light onto Notre Dame Ave. The courthouse comes up on the left in a rather unassuming one-story building at the corner of St. John. Parking is on the street.

If you are coming down Highway 87 from the north, say from 101 or the airport area, then exit at Julian St. Turn left on Julian Street at the traffic signal, which goes under the freeway. Turn right at Terraine Street, then left onto St. John. The courthouse is at the far corner of St. John and Notre Dame in a rather unassuming one-story building. Parking is on the street or in a pay lot.
